The discography section just wouldn't be complete without a Love Cats thread. Anyway that was the first thought I had when I found this picture.

Probably the first Cure song I heard, all those years ago, and I seem to remember hating it... It was only when I started getting into them that I realised that song was them, and I was hooked at that point!

That picture's sooo cute! I was just getting into The Cure when I heard Love Cats. I didn't like it when I first heard it... maybe because it wasn't exactly Cure-ish? I think it confused me more than anything. At the time, I was hooked on songs like Lovesong and Apart. And then not-so-slowly, my appreciation for Love Cats grew...
The video is one of the best. Robert looks so pretty!

;D This is the third song I fell in love with, hehehehe... My friend Joey used to always take his portable DVD player to school and one morning I brought in the Greatest Hits DVD and made all my friends watch Lovecats. They loooooved it!

Justina has this bootleg thing of The Cure in Japan in 84. The last song they play is Lovecats... and Robert really doesn't know what he's singing and it's absolutely HILLARIOUS. He keeps on singing the wrong parts over and over and then he just plain loses himself. Quality entertainment, I tell you.

well, they did it at the Icon show, and you'll be pleased to know that 20 years on they STILL dont really know how to do it!

Haha, hooray hooray!
I felt kinda bad for the Japanese people. I mean, you want the concert to go out with a bang, and they get, "Namermanamnemnemnamenmnemnamnmneanmlovecats... So wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully (hmm, that's not right...)....broken pieces(what the hell am I supposed to be singing? crap, it's the walking bass solo!)... let's go!"

I guess they'd see it as seeing something, er... unique...

plus, when you witness a shambolic performance like that, you know there's a very good chance you'll end up on a bootleg!
