ok, tis the 1st of March, so I reckon it's time to start preparing for St Patricks Day. Is it a big deal where you live? We've been having a St Paddy's Day parade here in London for the last few years, and it is normally a good day out. And of course there is mucho Guinness consumption to be done too!

i think it is, there are usually parades and stuff somewhere. my gramma being 1/2 irish and all, i've always celebrated it at home.

indeed. it's huge in boston (obviously, it's a pretty irish city!). the parade has been a tradition forever and of course, the pubs will be packed.
I live in a smaller city (north of boston) & even here, the pubs downtown will be overflowing (most are irish pubs anyway). my old company used to ditch work at about noon to go for guinnesses- sometimes it IS easy being green!
