What's with Lestat and Louie? I thought from the movie they were lovers or something?

Anne's vampires cannot have sex because their equipment just don't work no more so to a vampire sensuality is more important than sexuality. Lestat was bi as a mortal, Louis (I believe) was straight, but to a vampire it is more important to have a companion then a sex partner so gender doesn't really matter as long as you're good (or bad) company for each other.

The only problem is that after a few years (like a hundred or so) people tend to get on each others nerves. Thats why most vampires end up not being able to stand each other!

i love anne rice. she creates such amazing worlds, and her writing is so good. i've read the vamp chronicels, tales of the body theif is prob my fav, then queen of the da.mned and the rest. i love louis the best, but i cannot get enough of the daniel/armand story. its so beautiful, just makes me cry. and i totatlly picture christian slater as daniel (like he was in interview w/ the vamp) and joseph gordon-levit (anyone know him?) as armand. but i digress. i've also read a bunch of the 'new vamp chrons' my favs so far being armand the vamp (cuase duh, i love him!), vittorio the vamp, and the one about maurice (blanking on the name, though it could be pandora, but i thought maurice had his own book?) i haven't read any in a while, because i get so caught up in the books, emotionally, that i literaly can only read one a year now (emotinally, i just cant handle it) wow, long post.

Armand i always felt needed a niche to survive...he could never exist independently he needed to belong to something...i'm a lestat fan what can i say...the brat prince in the rebel and the pure entertainment...i like pandora and maharet also...i love the stories of the children of the millenea ...i really love the love story between marius and pandora...marius is another really colourful character a complete outsider and something about him is really elegant...louis kind of bores me at times...he over analyses everything...though he is helirious when he meets up with lestat again in the queen of the da.mned he just highlights how michievious lestat is. claudia is a really disturbing character but so imaginative...anne rice can really manipulate taboo areas into something beautiful...like the whole thing with lestat and his mother...
